We have three types of sustainable cotton: organic, recycled and cotton from sustainability programmes.

Organic cotton has GOTS and OCS certifications as seals of approval. It is grown without pesticides and added chemicals to respect the texture as much as possible. The GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) analyses the sustainability of the entire manufacturing process. The Organic Content Standard (OCS) certifies the origin and organic content of the production.

Recycled cotton is obtained through a process that gives fibres from waste textiles a second life, and the resulting product is suitable to be made into fabric. This is how IA Overseas creates new clothes from those that are left in containers that C·ritas has at its centres.
